There has been a huge upswing in consumers purchasing of re-usable bags at their local grocery retailer.   Why are consumers buying and what is the enviro-benefit?  The reduction of plastic bags being used and ultimately produced.

By purchasing a re-usable bag and bringing it back every time you shop you are reducing your plastic bag use by at least 3-4 bags per visit.  Imagine if the entire population of North America purchased just one bag and brought it back every time they shopped?  The impact would be tremendous.
