Looks like Penang will be able to prove itself as the “first green state” in Malaysia with its continuous efforts and the love for our planet earth!

Think of the times when some of you are carrying or wearing one of your favorite accessories, consciously/unconsciously, you are bragging about them. It is because they are reflecting your image and they tell something about you.

Same is when I am carrying one of my stylish reusable recyclable totes… I feel great… as they are respresenting me.. I’d like to think I’m a stylish environmentally friendly lady!! :)

It makes me wonder about the cities and areas where the consumption of plastic bags is still high …

Canada: Loblaws – Canada’s largest grocery store chain – has been charging 5 cents for plastic bags to its customers in Ontario and will begin charging for plastic bags all across Canada starting Earth Day – April 22nd.

USA: Mountain View, is contemplating a 25 cents charge on plastic bags. Whereas, plastic bags have already been banned in many cities across California – including San Francisco.
